Through this initiative we are furthering our sustainable mission of extending the life of our natural pillows so they end up in new bedrooms, not landfills.
How Our Pillow Renewal Project Works
Our Pillows are CIRCULAR (who knew?). Our 'Back in the Bedroom'™️ Products are real enVy™ Pillows that have been rejected for a small flaw or returned to us through our 90 Night Promise Guarantee...
Our POV: NO ONE deserves to be kicked out of the bedroom for no good reason! And our pillows don't hold a grudge... cuz they are natural and zen and all that.
So Our 'Back in the Bedroom' Renewal Department puts each rejected enVy™ Pillow through a tough certification process to ensure it meets our quality standards for resale and a second chance!
Redressed and Sanitized = Like New
Each of these enVy™ pillows is examined for defects in the Latex as well as the fabrics. All pillow protectors and COPPER infused liners that are free of any major flaws will be washed and used or else it is replaced with new liners. The Organic Latex is sanitized using our UV-C system, redressed with a washed (or new) pillow protector, a COPPER infused liner and recovered with a brand new pillowcase (either our TENCEL™ pillowcase or our 100% Pure SILK pillowcase). The result is a restored to 'like-new' enVy pillow which is placed on our website for 25% less than our unused pillows.
Our pillows are made out of the highest quality natural materials — 100% organic certified latex, 100% organic cotton, natural pure Copper, eco-loving TENCEL™️ lyocell fibres and/or pure OEKO-TEX®️ certified Silk. The finished product delivers luxury, performance, support, breathability, durability, biodegradability but most importantly, our shared peace of mind.
Our 100% Certified Organic Latex Pillows
Latex comes from a milky liquid from a rubber tree (our organic farms are in Sri Lanka). Latex is natural and eco-friendly but our latex is certified organic by the Global Organic Latex Standards (GOLS) which ensures meets the highest standards of organic -- no known toxic chemicals during the farming and manufacturing process.
As a result our latex is fully biodegradable so when you are done with it (many many many sleeps from now) it will fully revert back to nature.....
Our Eco-Soft Biodegradable TENCEL™
We use TENCEL™ fibres in our pillowcases and our COPPER infused pillow liners. TENCEL™ has been certified as biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil, freshwater, and marine conditions, and can fully revert to nature.
Partnering with the Austrian company LENZING, we use the amazing luxuriously eco-soft TENCEL™ for our pillowcases and COPPER infused liners. It is truly as gentle to your skin as it is to the planet. TENCEL lyocell fibres help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into nature's cycle. The fibres originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. The certified BioBased fibres are manufactured using an environmentally responsible closed loop production process. The fibres are certified by TÜV Austria Belgium NV as biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can fully revert back to nature.
